Creating a Safe Space for the LGBTQIA+ Community

Our focus here at MADSafe is to provide a safe space for LGBTQIA+ community members, people of color, or any marginalized members of our community and their allies by forging an increased sense of community and decreased isolation. This goal is accomplished through group activities, open discussion of issues affecting our community and service projects to make a positive impact within our community. The privacy and safety of our members is always vital, and violations of personal privacy within this group will not be tolerated.

Mostly we just hang out! We like to gather together in a safe space where all involved can be themselves without judgement. This simple act can help provide a stronger sense of community to help decrease depression and isolation in our community members. During our gatherings we often discuss issues that affect our community and work on how we can take action if needed. 

We focus on community outreach by collecting donations for various local causes, as well as acts of service as a group.  We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
